Cathy Thompson, Esquire, President
Cathy is a runner who goes the distance both on the road and for her clients. She earned a Bachelors Degree from the State University of New York at Pottsdam and a law degree from Suffolk Law University. She is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Massachusetts.
After practicing real estate law in Massachusetts for over 20 years, Cathy decided to pursue a more personal approach legal proceedings. In August 2003, along with her husband Fred Thompson, she opened Thompson Title & Settlement, LLC. They maintained an office in Windham, NH for five years, relocating to Salem, NH in August 2008. Cathy also maintains a law practice in Bradford, MA specializing in real estate law and closings.
Cathy combines her professional experience in closing real estate loans with a strong desire to create a stress-free experience for buyers, sellers, lenders and Realtors. When she’s not running Thompson Title, she’s sprinting the streets of Atkinson or the treadmill at her favorite local gym.

Fred Thompson, Director of Operations
When Fred isn’t kicking but on the soccer field, he’s tackling some of Thompson Title’s most challenging projects. Fred brings more than 30 years of business and real estate experience to Thompson Title. In addition to serving as Director of Operations for Rice & Brewer Electric and Essex Management Company, Fred also owned and operated his own firm “Lee Thompson & Co” where he developed subdivisions, multifamily housing projects, condo developments and more. Fred has deep experience in completing large-scale projects on time and on budget.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science & Music from the University of New York at Pottsdam and a Master of Science in Communications from the State University of New York. Fred is as passionately committed to success today as he was years ago when his soccer team won the state title.
